Chargeback & Fraud Mitigation Policy

1. Purpose of This Policy

This policy explains how Red Hot Xtra monitors, prevents, and responds to fraudulent transactions and chargebacks. By using our platform, you agree to follow these rules and cooperate with our verification and dispute processes.

2. Fraud Prevention Measures

To protect our creators, our business, and our members, we may use any combination of the following safeguards:

  • Real-time fraud screening for suspicious payment activity.
  • Identity and age verification when required by law or when account behaviour raises concerns.
  • IP address checking, device fingerprinting, and usage monitoring to detect abnormal patterns.
  • Temporary account holds if we detect activity that may indicate fraud, misuse, or a security breach.

We may request additional information from you at any time to confirm your identity or validate a transaction.

3. Transaction Verification

If a payment triggers our risk alerts, we may:

  • Delay access to purchased content until the transaction clears,
  • Request proof of identity or ownership of the payment method,
  • Contact the payment provider to validate authorisation, or
  • Cancel the transaction entirely if fraud is suspected.

Failure to respond to a verification request may result in restricted access or account closure.

4. Chargeback Handling

A chargeback occurs when a customer disputes a transaction with their card issuer. To protect the platform and its creators, Red Hot Xtra applies the following rules:

4.1 If You File a Chargeback

When a chargeback is submitted:

  • Your access to Red Hot Xtra may be suspended immediately.
  • We will open an internal investigation and request supporting evidence from you.
  • You must cooperate fully and provide any requested documentation.

If the chargeback is determined to be invalid or abusive, your account may be permanently closed.

4.2 Fees & Liability

You agree to be responsible for:

  • Any chargeback fees imposed by our payment processors,
  • The full value of the disputed transaction, and
  • Administrative recovery costs, capped at a reasonable amount needed to resolve the dispute.

If we win the chargeback dispute, the funds and any associated fees will be charged to your payment method.

If we lose the dispute, your account may remain suspended or terminated based on our risk assessment.

5. Fraudulent or Abusive Chargebacks

Red Hot Xtra treats the following as fraudulent chargebacks:

  • Disputing legitimate purchases to avoid payment ("friendly fraud"),
  • Repeated disputes without valid cause,
  • Use of stolen or unauthorised payment methods, or
  • Coordinated attempts to access content without paying.

If we believe a chargeback is intentional or fraudulent, we may take any of the following actions:

  • Recover outstanding balances from any valid payment method you have used,
  • Invoice you directly for losses and fees,
  • Engage collection services,
  • Notify law enforcement, where applicable, and
  • Pursue civil action for damages arising from misuse or fraud.

6. Account Suspension & Holds

We reserve the right to place:

  • Temporary holds on your account or payments,
  • Restrictions on purchasing or accessing content, or
  • Permanent account bans if we believe you are engaging in fraud, chargeback misuse, or any behaviour that risks the safety or integrity of the platform.

Holds may remain in place until a dispute is resolved or until we determine that activity is legitimate.

7. Communication With Payment Providers

You authorise Red Hot Xtra to share relevant account information, transaction records, IP logs, and verification data with payment providers when required to resolve disputes or investigate suspicious activity.

8. No Refunds

Red Hot Xtra operates a strict no-refund policy. All sales are final.

Chargebacks may not be used as a replacement for our refund policy. Doing so is considered misuse and may result in penalties described above.

9. Your Responsibilities

By using Red Hot Xtra, you agree to:

  • Use only payment methods you own and control,
  • Keep your account secure and private,
  • Not request or open chargebacks for valid, authorised purchases, and
  • Notify us immediately if you believe your account or card has been compromised.

Failure to follow these rules may result in account restrictions or removal.

10. Amendments

Red Hot Xtra may update this policy at any time. Continued use of our service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
